How To Join Us?

Kairos is a by-invitation-only investment club

Kairos is a by-invitation-only investment club. Members can gain access to our depository of past submissions and online communication tools to interact with other members.

To join, prospective members have to submit one (1) investment idea for consideration. Please see here for submission requirements.

The investment idea will be vetted by the Admission Committee.

For overseas-based applicants, membership admission will be based on the quality of the submission.

For Singapore-based applicants, they will, post-submission, be required to present the idea at our bi-monthly meetups. The presentation allows the prospective member to introduce himself/herself to our existing members, present the investment thesis and defend the thesis during the Q&A session. Membership admission will be based on the quality of the submission and presentation.

To request for an invitation to submit, please email us at kairosclubsg@gmail.com with a short introduction of yourself and your investment interest(s).

Requirements

Kairos is an investment club with a focus on fundamental analysis. Some of the investment styles under the ambit of fundamental analysis may include (but not exhaustive):

  • Value
  • Growth
  • Deep value
  • Net-nets
  • Dividend plays
  • Long term compounders
  • Special situations, such as mergers and spin-offs
  • Shorts

We cater for investors with varied investment styles but generally do not accept ideas based on technical analysis.

Submission

It is recommended that the submission, in write-up or in presentation form, include the following points:

  • Company introduction (including business model)
  • Thesis
  • Basic financials (to the extent important to the thesis. Full-blown financials are not required.)
  • Valuation and/or price target
  • Risks

The submission can include other relevant information not included above if it is relevant to the investment idea.

The submission will be reviewed by the Admission Committee for quality before the member is considered for admission.

Presentation

Presentation of the idea is a membership requirement for Singapore-based members. Presenters should bear in mind the 10-minute time limit for presentation. A good guideline would be 1 slide per minute, give or take. Presentation content should also be clearly legible.

This will be followed by a 10-minute Q&A session.

It is not necessary for prospective members to do both a write-up and presentation slides.

Membership Renewal

Kairos membership term is one (1) year. Membership renewal requires a successful submission and presentation of an investment idea at the end of the term.

Guests

We understand there may be individuals keen to find out more about Kairos before joining as members. There are also others who may not be ready to present yet.

We allow these interested individuals to join us at our bi-monthly meetups as guests.

To request for an invitation to join us as a guest, please email us at kairosclubsg@gmail.com with a short introduction of yourself and your investment interest(s).
